memorial day

This year i spent Memorial day in Lake Powell, and it was... interesting to say the least. Melis and i picked up and went with about fifty people... that we had not met prior to the trip. Basically we were told... Powell trip Memorial day, how much it would be, and we were in. Who passes up Powelladise? Anyways, it was an overall successful trip, even though the weather wasnt fantastic the first few days, it really was a fun time. We got a good tan, and Mel and i discovered our amazing talent at tubing. Who knew? Oh yeah, and we stayed on two ridiculously huge house boats, and a helicopter was just on top of one of them...
Um.. which i got to ride in and jump out of into the lake later on in the trip... yeah.
So yeah I'd say we had a pretty good time. Although both of us almost died after jumping out of the helicopter because of the mix of shock, freezing water, no life jacket, helicopter blades blowing extreme winds everywhere, and weakness in the swimming department. Overall pretty good weekend.

sun and fun

I believe that laughter is the most genuine of all human expression...

This past weekend I went on a little trip to St George with my family, and boy was there a lot of laughter. Why is it that when you're with the same people for an extended period of time everything is funny--to you and them both?

One of the highlights of the trip was when my brother Corbin reminisced on a little gem from our childhood.. Ali age 4, Corbin age 8 and Glade age 12. Our family got a trampoline for our backyard, and it was a huge hit... unfortunately for me i was too small to do awesome stuff on there; therefore hindering my older, more adventurous brothers. Because i couldn't do anything that was significantly fun--i was kicked off. Corbin tells the story best from here, but apparently I went inside raging only returning a few minutes later in a teary rage, waving my fists in the air and blurting out all the swears i knew and had ever heard..

and i quote my four year old self in saying..

"son-of-a-bitch, bastard, shit"

oh the good old days.

movin on out

So i finally officially moved, yes i am in fact capable of it. Who knew? I am in a condo with my friends Melissa and Susanna, its a great place, and we totally got hooked up--thank you Tyler. We are having so much fun thus far... even though moving was the BIGGEST pain. No one told me that i would have to sleep for 6 days just to catch up from it. Four flights of stairs... that was rough on my not-in-shape body. Anywho... for our first order of business we threw a FIESTA for Cinco De Mayo. It was beyond words. Pinata, Del Taco (taco tuesdays=amazing), confetti, spanish music only, margaritas (complete with those awesome umbrella things), homemade salsa and many of our amigos of course! here are some photos for your viewing pleasure.
